Hi there! I'm Linda, a dietitian and food technologist specializing in gut health.
By combining my medical degree in nutrition and dietetics with degree in food technology, along with a passion for creating healthy and delicious recipes, this page aims to share my knowledge and tips for well-being and everyday cooking.
Philosophy
It's important to choose dietary options that best suit your needs and practice moderation. Excessive restriction without medical reasons, dieting, and adopting extreme measures are not the answers to becoming healthier; in fact, they can lead to an unhealthy relationship with food. If you're seeking to improve your nutrition and well-being, first focus on adding rather than cutting out too much. Start by incorporating more veggies, legumes, and fruits. And if adding a bit of dressing on top helps you enjoy more veggies and legumes, why avoid it? It's not all black and white. Eating what's good for you doesn't mean dieting or sticking to plain foods; and eating more veggies doesn't have to mean cutting out dishes that you enjoy!
My focus is on incorporating more veggies, legumes, fruits, and other gut-friendly ingredients into delicious everyday recipes to add the fiber and bioactive compounds for a healthy gut microbiota and overall health.
What you can expect
I understand how challenging it can be to sift through the vast amount of nutrition information available, much of which is contradictory. It's exhausting to wade through a sea of ads and personal stories as well when all you want is a simple recipe for dinner. No more of that! Expect straightforward recipes and information here as well as in my consultations.
